Hail hits. Your reps are on the right streets by noon.
Mark the storm on your door-to-door map and every rep sees it. Send the team with a territory, book inspections at the door, and track every claim on the job, all in the CRM you already quote and invoice from.
From the storm to the signed roof.
- Step 1
Mark the storm
Drop a pin where it hit, give it a name and date (“Jul 14 hail, NW Calgary”) and how far it reached. Pick a colour. Switch old storms off when the work dries up.
- Step 2
Everyone sees it
The storm shows on every rep’s map and in the office, so the whole team knows which neighbourhoods to knock.
- Step 3
Knock the right streets
Draw a territory over the storm, assign reps, and “Find a new area” shows the nearest homes nobody has worked in 3 months.
- Step 4
Book at the door
Reps log each door in one tap and book the inspection from your real open times. The homeowner gets the confirmation straight away.
- Step 5
Track every claim
Each booked roof lands in your pipeline. Mark it as an insurance claim and it gets the claim steps, adjuster details and a Supplement tab.
- Step 6
See what the storm brought in
Doors, inspections, sales and revenue from door knocking, for each rep, today, this week or the last 30 days.
Never knock the same street twice.
Draw a territory over the storm, assign reps and see how much of it has been worked. Reps see their own territory and the storm on their map.
SMPL doesn’t buy hail data or predict storms. You mark the storm from what you know (the news, your own drive-through, a hail map you trust), and SMPL makes sure the whole team works it.
Storm mode questions
Where does the storm data come from?
From you. Hail-swath data doesn’t cover most of Canada well, so you mark the storm yourself: its centre, how far it reached, its name and date. It shows on every rep’s map as a shaded circle.
Can door-knockers add storms?
Office staff and managers add, switch off and remove storms. Door-knockers see every active storm on their own map.
Does it work for wind and ice damage too?
Yes. A storm is just an area on the map with a name and date, so you can mark wind, ice or any event that sends homeowners looking for a roofer.
How do I follow up after the storm?
Every homeowner a rep logs gets a “great meeting you today” email in your name, and booked inspections get their confirmation. Your automations take it from there.
