Insurance claims

Every insurance claim, organised on the job.

Adjuster meetings, photos, scope, supplements and depreciation, all on the roofing job, so nothing gets lost between the inspection and the final cheque.

Mark it as a claim

One tap turns a job into an insurance claim. It gets a claim badge on the pipeline and the claim tools below.

The adjuster, on file

The adjuster’s name, phone and email, and the date of the adjuster visit, on the job for everyone who needs them.

Your scope in Xactimate

Save the Xactimate claim number and link on the job, and open the scope in one tap.

Supplements, tracked

The Supplement tab lists what the adjuster missed (drip edge, starter, ice and water…), the amount requested, when it was sent, and what the insurer approved.

Depreciation, not forgotten

Depreciation recovery is one of the claim steps, so the holdback gets chased when the roof is done, with notes on what was sent.

Photos on the job

Inspection and completion photos live on the job (and from CompanyCam, if you use it), ready for the adjuster or the insurer.

Step by step

Six claim steps on every insurance job

Tick each one off as you go, with notes for the next person.

Insurance claim questions

Which insurers are listed?

Canadian home insurers by default: Intact, Aviva, Wawanesa, TD Insurance, Co-operators, Desjardins and more, plus “Other”. You can change the list.

Do you file claims for us?

No. SMPL keeps every claim organised on the job; your team still talks to the homeowner, the adjuster and the insurer.

Does it connect to Xactimate?

You save the Xactimate claim number and the link to the scope on the job, so it opens in one tap. There’s no automatic sync.

Can we use it for retail jobs too?

Yes. Only jobs you mark as insurance claims get the claim tools. Every other roof runs as a normal retail job.
